My eyes were opened to the need and the value of the programs out there for these people. Working in that environment gave me a deeper understanding of their situations and a deeper appreciation of the opportunities present where I'm from.

It was very rewarding to help others, and we got to have a lot of new experiences.

After every day of working we felt good because it was a rewarding experience. It was a lot of hard work, but it was definitely more meaningful than a typical spring break trip to Florida.

People take affordable housing for granted. It was really nice to help someone else out, making it possible for them to own their own homes.
