This is going to be a wonderful resource for us. It will fit in well to improve the health of the kids, and fit more exercise into the day, which in effect will make them better learners. Kids who have more physical activity are better learners. There used to be a mindset that physical education and activity was a waste of time in school, but it is not.

Overall the times were slower than the previous week, but Chris Yuknis, Pat Swanson, and Zack Kennedy all finished well.

Randolph is a much improved team from previous years. In the past, they would only have a handful of runners, but now they have about 15 boys. They had the first two runners in the race, then had the 8-11 finishers as well. That is just to tough to beat.

And eventually, if the children in the two schools start to see themselves as a whole unit – less (as) competing schools and more of a school community and family – it will help make for easier transitions when they come together in middle school.

Lauren had her best race.

The Rockland runner is very good and Kate stayed with her the whole race. Kate is so consistent. I can always rely on her to finish strong.

When you see it straight on, it collapses into a straight line. And from the side, it will look voluminous.

It was really scary. I hope they're both OK.

Lauren had her best race. She has improved every race this year. She is becoming so comfortable with the races. She is a very quiet girl, but very competitive. I have been so impressed with the impact she has had on the team.
