Crime victimization can dramatically change a person's life. Crime Victims' Rights Week gives Missouri an opportunity to educate our communities about the devastating impacts of violent crimes and also recognize the efforts of professionals and volunteers who dedicate their lives to helping victims of crime.
It is important to not only honor workers who have lost their lives or been injured on the job, but to look ahead to prevent future tragedies. Missouri is one of a few states that provides not one, but three safety and health programs to assist employers in developing, implementing and maintaining safer workplaces.
