"Kate Baker" is a Hugo Award-winning and World Fantasy Award-nominated podcast editor for Clarkesworld Magazine, which she has done since October 2009. She has narrated over one hundred short stories and poems by some of the biggest names in science fiction and fantasy, for a number of venues, including The Drabblecast, Escape Pod, Fantasy Magazine, and StarShipSofa. Her narration for Peter Watt's Clarkesworld story, "The Things", was nominated for a 2010 Parsec Award for Best Speculative Story (Short Form). Along with the rest of the staff of Clarkesworld she was nominated for and won the 2011 and 2013 Hugo Award for the Best Semiprozine category. For recognition from that same year the staff was also nominated for the World Fantasy Awards for the Special Award—Non-Professional category and again in 2014. Kate and her family currently reside in Northern Connecticut.
