4-H is all about projects and recordkeeping, to teach kids to be responsible. There's a lot of scholarship money involved.

They have to keep their record books and think about their goals — it's not just a horse standing in their backyard.

Our goal right now isn't to go win anything. Another goal would be just to teach them general horsemanship, how to take care of their horse and achieve their goals, whatever they may be.
