Ashley has been working hard to adjust to her new role as a big man after playing guard her whole life and has seen her labors bear real fruit for the first time.

We woke up defensively in the second half and held them to just one field goal (and ten points), and won reasonably comfortably. But there was certainly a lesson learned about the importance of playing intense, smart defense from the opening tip.

It was the kind of winning basketball play we've made frequently of late.

What should not be overlooked, however, is that after suffering the disappointment of losing an early lead, and the frustration of watching shot after shot clang off the rim (or worse, hit nothing), we didn't quit.
