We tried him in the outfield, but that was a disaster.

This is probably the best defensive game I've seen Nick play. He's been around so long, you come to expect it. Sometimes you forget how good of a shortstop he is.

Last year we were the hunters and other teams were our prey. This year we haven't gotten our hunter instinct back, but I think it's coming.

The pitching is there, the defense is there, we've just got to find a way to score more runs. Our mental approach is lacking.

We did what we should have done against less than average pitching. Our struggles still continue when we face better than average arms. I didn't really see us make adjustments.

Our pitchers feel a lot more confident out there knowing that Nick is behind them.

We should have come out with more intensity. You've got to be ready to play and instead we just went through the motions.

Randy puts more effort into his game than any player I've worked with. Sometimes he even goes a little overboard with (weightlifting).

He wants to be a better pitcher now. Up until this season, he spent a lot of time wanting to hit more and play other positions, but now he's really taking pride in making himself better at his best part of the game.
