We have guys like Chris Crawford who are really trying and we've asked a lot of them already. Everybody is trying. It just hasn't happened for us yet.

Right now, we're going to war with a pistol offensively and other teams are carrying bazookas.

I found over the years, if you have a real good player, you can feed off that player. [Good] players have a lot to [do with] making good coaches.

Last year, I guess everybody thought I was a genius. This year, people must think I'm not so smart.

It's tough because I'm the captain of the ship, and let's face it, it starts with me. But I think, forgetting this season for a moment, we've had more pluses than minuses.

Fran was averaging about 30 points a game for us in the summer leagues, so losing him was a really big blow for us.

I think the thing we all understand here is that it is just a game. You enjoy the game and enjoy the kids and teach them the very best you can. And if you lose, you just come back (today) and try. But there are much more important things in life.

The football players (including Gallagher and Pat Devlin) are trying to find their legs and conditioning. They are working their way through the physical part of it. We are not in sync offensively. There's no rhyme or reason, and that's put me in a quandary.
