The biggest success story in terms of drawing Hispanic fans and drivers has been our Saturday night drag races. We had tremendous turnouts last season and we anticipate them being even bigger this year.

It's going to happen eventually, so why not here?

Our hope is that drivers from across the country who are looking to make that step from weekly racing to the big time will come out and play in our playground.

One of reasons why we're racing in Mexico is to generate interest among Hispanics here at home. The race will be carried on national TV (Fox) and a lot of Hispanic fans will be tuned in back here.

Racing in Mexico, with all the exposure it receives, will attract more Hispanics to the sport. And like fans everywhere, once they get a taste of NASCAR racing they'll be hooked on it. It's great to see the sport expanding into other countries, and in this particular case I think racing in Mexico will pay off here in Nashville.

It's kind of a cross between 'American Idol' and 'The Beverly Hillbillies' where you go from nowhere, here's somebody making their debut on a national stage.
