It was a tough match. I feel for the guys. It is what it is.

I'm not coaching my kids to take the initiative when the step onto the mat and I take the blame for that. I haven't instilled the desire in my kids to take the lead - and it was those close losses that ended up making the difference tonight.

We can't afford to rely solely on being better conditioned than our opponents. There are other facets of wrestling that we need to improve on - we often find ourselves in bad positions on the mat and that got in some trouble tonight.

He?s doing a good job. He?s turning the corner in technique. He really wants to step up his competitive edge, but as a three-sport athlete it?s difficult to concentrate on just one of them.

It was a great match. Those two always have epic battles. It was good to see him take the initiative and get the win.

Losing those early matches all in a row just tore our morale in two. I'm surprised that we were able to fight back as much as we did at the end of the meet.

I?m just not very pleased. Yeah, we won 55-15, but they gave up a lot of forfeits. We were lackadaisical and empty and we can?t wrestle like that to win.
