The immediate reaction is, 'Gosh, look at the turnover,' and that is understandable. But you do have to put it in perspective. It's been a little high but not something that's mind-blowing.

The tone of this campaign is not all that surprising and does indicate that this is likely what it's going to be like come October.

It's a chance for the governor to get back into the game at this late stage and put his stamp on what was produced by the General Assembly.

Certainly when you have an investigation going on like that, for the governor to have to be involved in any way is awkward. It can't be fun for Gov. Fletcher to have to be doing this and it's a difficult situation for him.
