It was close the whole way and we had some good efforts to help us. It wasn't just three or four guys scoring a lot of points for us. We had a lot of those fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-place finishes, too.

There was a lot of mental toughness there. I think he learned a lot, especially with the mental part.

We were playing catch-up the entire meet. Scribner-Snyder cashed in with the throws and that is essentially what it took. We closed the gap during the day. Our boys showed a lot of guts and I couldn't be prouder.
