It is like a documentary because she has it written day-by-day and incident-by-incident. She was a professor of English. Her writing is wonderful, wonderful writing.

The bus boycott was instrumental in the desegregation in the community. It is unbelievable the atrocities people were living with in that day. The book tells of some of the harrowing experiences they had but I believe most of the boycotters knew the risk of their participation.

It was amazing to hear from and about different people from different walks of life and the impression she left upon them. All her work they're studying now is a part of history.
