Isaiah did all that while being sick. He looked white and pale out there but he gutted it up.

We cut the lead to 12 by the intermission and our goal was to get the deficit down to six before the fourth quarter. I had no idea we would actually lead by 12 after the third quarter.

Their two big scorers got loose the final three minutes of the third quarter. But before that, we played very well. Our man press was effective for a while and we did a great job of rebounding.

We had a horrid first half defensively and we played with no energy. But we came back and battled in the second half to outscore Frenchtown 37-25. Our kids never gave up and that's a good sign of character. After the game I heard some people from Frenchtown say that we have a feisty team.

Our post players made some good, quick moves inside and we made Libby's big guys move their feet.

We kind of had a weird line-up on the floor--one that I normally wouldn't put out there against a team with as much height as Big Sky. We had a big guy on one of their top shooters and another smaller guy on their other (6-foot-4) shooter.

It's always great to get that first win. It helps to build confidence. But I have to admit I was kind of bummed when we got down 30-12 in the first half. I just tried to stay positive and realized that it was a fast-paced game and that we could make some adjustments.

Nathan hit some outside shots, was the recipient of some good passes and he also scored off the dribble. Nathan scored through a variety of ways.

Basically, Woods shut us down in the middle.
