This sophomore group is developing nicely.

Our kids did a nice job and things are starting to come around. It was a very good defensive game by both teams.

Marshall played pretty well; they've only lost to Rock Bridge since we beat them at their place.

We didn't shoot the ball well and California was more aggressive than we were; they took advantage of the opportunities we gave them. We had the lead in the fourth quarter, but we gave it right back to them.

Van-Far has a nice team and Smith is a really good player. We were down only five at the half, but we just didn't come back out of the dressing room the way we would have liked.

Southern Boone played very, very well. They had played Friday night as well, defeating Harrisburg in overtime.

We seem to have a single quarter that really does us in. I thought we played well even in the first quarter and the second as well, but we just can't come out of the dressing room like we did in the third.

Our guys came home happy and they should be; they've worked hard all year and sometimes they've had to bite their lip because the results weren't always there.

Granted, we played a JV team, but by the same token, instead of messing around, our guys stayed focused and played well.
