It was important to come back with a more entertaining product. I think in a huge way, what they've learned is that change is not necessarily bad. If they see that tweaking the game will enhance the product and thus the revenue, I think you're going to see more changes.

If the league said, 'Yeah, the fans will be part of this solution,' then that would help win fans back.

Generally, the changes have been well received. For years and years, fans have been telling the NHL they should do something about obstruction and holding and call it by the book. It looks like they're going to stick to it this time. ... So the game itself has really opened up.

People, through company investment programs, mutual funds and private investing venues, are much more cognizant of the stock market. As more people get involved (in the market), you tend to more rapidly give a letter grade to the CEO.
