They were a really good passing team. I've got to hand it to my kids. They didn't quite after they scored their second goal. They were still running and gunning.

Lee has a great team and they've definitely proven themselves this year. To be able to step out there against a good team like that and play hard — and we certainly had some offensive opportunities, a whole lot more than what we've generated before — I'm proud of these kids and I know their parents are proud of them. I have a fantastic group of kids.

To have it in the palm of your hand and just slid through like tiny grains of sand is definitely, definitely heartbreaking.

We spent a lot of time waiting on the ball instead of going to the ball and you can't do that. It looked like we wanted it handed to us instead of going to get it and taking it ourselves and that's frustrating. But there were little minor victories from this game and that's what we're going to have to take from this.

I thought the effort we gave was pretty poor considering how well we had been playing over the weekend. We looked flat. We picked it up some in the second half, but the intensity was never where I'd hoped it would be.

You could see obvious improvement. They're figuring each other out and the system. They're making smarter plays and better plays to make things click and work.
