I was very impressed with the other team. I heard a lot about their hitting, but that was the best defensive team we've played all year.

I'd like to think if I'm a decent person, I'm just carrying over what he (did). He was a wonderful man. Everybody felt that way about him. As soon as I walked in there, I could feel it, the love everybody (at La Salle) had for him. We all have the feeling he's looking down on us.

He had it going today. We hurt ourselves in the third inning when we gave up that unearned run. In these kinds of games, that often does come back to play a role. They didn't make any of those mistakes. I'm disappointed we didn't win, but I'm very proud of this team. We overcame adversity and accomplished a great deal.

He's got a lot of heart. I wanted to see if he could reach back and get out of it. No sense second-guessing yourself now.
