Kevin has been pitching great all year long. We also played some great defense behind him.

It's been this way all along. We've lost our share of one-run games. These kids hang in there and as long as it's close, you always have a chance to win.

I had so much confidence in Kevin, and he is such a competitor once he steps on that field. If he'd had 190 pitches, he wouldn't have come out of the game because he was determined to get it. He held them at bay for a long time.

It's tough playing out of town. Our kids hit the ball well. We had lots of errors (five), but we overcame. Our kids hung in there and battled back.

It's the kind of game that keeps you on the edge all the time. We played great defense and great behind Kevin, and sometimes that's all you need.
