If we took that north to Mink and Broad, I think we could alleviate the truck traffic on 310.
We have suggested on multiple occasions going back multiple years that they should consider revisiting those zoning categories. To date, they have not done so. Even in the face of Wal-Mart, they have not begun proceedings.
At the time, the county planning commission strongly recommended that the township approve the rezoning so that the big retail center could be placed farther away from the roadway, so that we could work with the township and Wal-Mart to develop an access plan to minimize traffic congestion on 310. Realistically, now we have limited options available to develop appropriate access.
One of the most important things to remember is land-use decisions in Licking County are made at the township level, through township zoning.
