This was a coming out party for these guys. Kyle Bradshaw took home his first gold medal in his high school career with an overtime thriller against Chris Johnson of Sparks, a guy he's had a long history with.

He is hoping to take his wrestling skills into college and certainly can do so with the work ethic that he has. We're hoping he finally gets noticed.

He (Salazar) wrestled impressively in his first time on the varsity. Luis should be a solid part of our line-up for years to come, be we're hoping to squeeze as much out of him this year as we can.

He has earned a reputation as a great wrestler and now people seem to root for his opponent who is almost always the underdog. The gym was quite loud on Friday in Dayton when he failed to pin his opponents, even though both of those wins were very lopsided. I guess it just goes with the territory.

Our main focus for the next two weeks will be preparing for the division (matches). This will determine the seeding for zone and is crucial to our success.

I was satisfied with our finish considering we're wrestling with only half our squad. We're still toying with our line-up and trying to find the right fit for our wrestlers and their weight classes.

Arturo, Kyle, and Tyler again put on great performances, wrestling with the style and grace set up by the years of experience they have accumulated. They never seem to get themselves into compromising positions and are learning to stay on the offensive so as to always dictate the flow of the match. I think they are beginning to peak, and perfect timing as we head into our post-season.

He (Parker) has shown how much he's improved this year. And Matt Behrens is stepping up in his role as a contributor to this team as he pulled out a third place in the tournament.

Despite being ousted from the tournament in his last match, he showed me that he is not going to be outdone by his senior counterparts. After a brief absence from competition in the early part of the season, he is rapidly catching pace with the team and wrestling impressively. Tyler is our silent leader and has always been someone we can count on to get valuable team points.
