I think there's no question that an improved economy will push Amazon's growth rate up. The question is whether the growth can be faster than that. As long as the company keeps reporting growth that's not less, it'll be OK.

Given the current environment, when you've got so many companies doing poorly, to see one come out with this kind of upside surprise really speaks to the traction their strategy has.

Regardless of the (earnings) metric, they're on the right path.

The forward-looking numbers that they're putting out are beginning to give them more credibility than they had three or six months ago.
