Making it as far as he did was incredible, and getting there and winning one match is incredible with the top 16 in the state.

We were tied for fourth (overall) until the quarterfinals, and it's a first for me to have all my qualifiers get that far.

We kind of gave away a move we did beating them two weeks ago. He beat us once, then we beat them, and he had that one move that he was able to counter, and he did it.

Luckily he's just athletic, and he remembers enough and he's trained hard enough to come out there and beat somebody that is as strong and athletic as that kid was.

Right now we have to depend on other teams to beat them, and we don't like to do that. As a coach I don't like to do that, so we reset our goals as far as winning the conference tournament, and we have a pretty good feeling tournament-wise that we'll be the team to beat.

They're such good friends, and Ryan has everything to lose, and Joe doesn't.
