When the last time you threw a baseball you were feeling a sharp pain in your shoulder.

That's what you've got to do in the playoffs. I like it when the team does it like that, because it builds confidence.

Some guys come out of the chute and do well in spring training, so he's certainly capable. I don't think he'll get four balls the first time up, but he's definitely earned our respect.

I don't think he has to prove anything.

That's the way you have to play in the playoffs. You battle, get some timely hits, make the plays defensively, find a way to win. Play fundamentally sound baseball and don't beat yourself. I like it.

We've been in the driver's seat for so long now, that if we lose this thing, it's not going to be because Barry Bonds came back and the Giants all of a sudden made a run. It's because we gave this thing away. It's ours to win. If we go out night in and night out and play the baseball we're supposed to play, the division is over.
