As much as people want to get mad at us, don't look at us. We just went out there and performed.
It was shocking to us. He was here for one year, and then all of a sudden he took off. A lot of us had our heads down. We're thinking coaches are looking at us as a team where you get your credentials up and then head off to a high-profile place.
People are going to keep saying stuff, but we know that we belong in the tournament. We're just going to show people that we do.
In 40 minutes of ball, you never know what can happen. If we go out there and play like we can, we're going to set ourselves up with a chance to win at the end. I think we've proven ourselves and we're going to go out there and show everybody.
I don't know what he was doing. I was just trying to get back to my bench when I bumped him. He stepped out in front of me.
It came out of nowhere. There was not speculation at all. Then we find out Coach is leaving. It was a tough time for all of us.
He came into our locker room that first time, and everybody was just kind of sitting there. The first thing he did was give us all his cell-phone number. He told us to call him any time, anywhere, no matter what the issue was. It was a little thing, but to me, that helped a lot. It was sort of symbolic. He was trying to gain our trust right there at the beginning.
Our eyes lit up. That's a huge person to bring in.
You can't judge off one game. It matters what you do all year. People will keep saying stuff, but we know we belong in the tournament, and we're just going to show people.
