We just played a good game and when we play a good game, we're capable of keeping it close against anybody. We wanted a split today at worst and we were happy to get it.

Cathy (Cunningham) has been in every situation in the 10 times she's been here and she just reminded us that it was the first end and there were nine more to go.

We weren't a part of that. We were gone even before he played the final game. But it would be good thing for curling if we managed to do well.

It was the last curling we did and I thought about it all summer. But we worked with a sports psychologist and decided to make some changes. We got some help with strategy by bringing Cathy on and it's been good.

I wouldn't have traded places with the provincial reps who didn't make it. It was a difficult situation, but you make the best of it and move on.

It's a long week, and any time you can get a win, it's exciting. You've got to build some momentum and the way to go about that is to win some games early in the week.
