I should not let anything like that frustrate me. I feel like I'm the caliber of player who can hit there, but I can't use hitting somewhere else in the lineup as an excuse. Whether I'm hitting third or sixth, I've got to put together good at-bats.
Sometimes you go through slumps, ... But I feel like if I put a couple of good at-bats together, I'll get my rhythm back.
I haven't been hitting as well as I should be lately, ... I'm going to try and finish strong.
He sounded like it was just going to be a little bump in the road. Hopefully, that's the case.
Kevin is great to play behind. He works relatively fast, uses his fastball and throws strikes, and makes it easier on his defense.
This is unfortunate, but with his attitude, this should be no big deal. We all just want him to get well and get back to the team when he can.
He's always tough, but we had a pretty good approach. It seemed like his command wasn't exactly where he wanted it and we tried to take advantage of it.
It is just part of Spring Training soreness. If this was during the season, I'd play through it.
We understand what's expected of us. We didn't need to spend a lot of time talking about that stuff. We just needed to get to work.
