We told our kids at halftime that football is a game of peaks and valleys. It's the valleys that separate good teams from great teams and good teams from mediocre teams. I think our kids showed character and responded when we needed them to.

We felt that three things changed the momentum of this game. One was the hit Kris had, the other was obviously the kick-off return. And the other was the hit by Charlie, which was one of the finest hits I've ever seen in high school football.

Lucky for us, games are played on the field. It was a physical game and our kids are going to be sore tomorrow, but, without a doubt, they'll be happy tomorrow.

We're elated. We're elated for the kids and we're elated for the Central family. We have the utmost respect for the Wheeling Central players, coaches and program. We got back on the winning track and we did it against a fine ball team.

We told our kids at the half, that we needed to do something to change the tempo of this game. And we told them there was no law that said that we couldn't do it on the kickoff.

Zach did a great job. Sometimes you don't realize how often you're carrying the ball. But our backs and our line did a great job tonight against a physical team.

Our field goal team did a great job. As they say, they stepped it up. Our kicker, placer, snapper all did a great job. They came through for us big tonight.
