"Gerald Lee Laird III" is an American professional baseball catcher who is currently with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization. He graduated La Quinta High School (Westminster, California)/La Quinta High School in 1998, and played college baseball at Cypress College. He was born in Westminster, California and made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2003 with the Texas Rangers (baseball)/Texas Rangers. He also played in MLB with the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves.

Being patient and relaxed is the key. You have to let the ball come to you, because it moves so much. You get too aggressive and go after a ball, with the late movement, that's when you have some problems.

He was unbelievable. He's pitching great. Now he's starting to get comfortable and get into the flow of the game. When he came over, he hadn't pitched that many innings. Now he's getting into a groove and really commanding the inside part of the plate.
