We finally adjusted and set off the net much better in the third and fourth games. We only made seven serving errors in the match (80-for-87), but they all seemed to come on critical points.

We've lost a key defensive player and right now we don't know how long Pat will be out. He'll be tough to replace.

We kept going back-and-forth between dominating and faltering -- but there were many more good plays than bad.

The defensive percentage was much higher and that improved consistency is encouraging.

We also had many great second and third efforts to keep the ball alive for points. We still need improvement on passing and defense, where we committed 35 errors (73-for-108) and completed only 68 percent of the plays.

The last two were much closer than they should have been.

Serving was the key.

Like he had never been away.

It's been mass chaos, ... trying to play everybody without sacrificing continuity and momentum.
