"Geoffrey M. Sanderson" is a Canada/Canadian former professional ice hockey Winger (ice hockey)/left winger, most notably for the Hartford Whalers and Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Sanderson is currently a scout for the New York Islanders. Sanderson is the only NHL player to have been raised in the Northwest Territories, a place in which he grew up while his father worked as a pharmacist in the now defunct town of Pine Point, Northwest Territories. We had to play catch-up all night, and they did a good job of shutting down all of us offensively. We didn't get many chances.

We just waited too long.

Breast cancer has touched a lot of people in this locker room, and cancer has touched everybody in here. This is just a small gesture that we can do as hockey players just to bring a little more attention to it.

When Barry pulls you aside and tells you something, you listen. He puts the game in a totally different perspective and makes you look at the game in a refreshing way. He's seen every type of situation.

It would have been nicer to get it in a win. I don't have a big smile on my face. It didn't mean much - kind of bittersweet.

We showed signs at getting back into the game but every time we would show signs they would put an end to it and get another goal and put it out of reach.

I think the break really helped us. We were on a losing streak going into the break and it was good timing for us to get away from the game. We had a great week of practice and I don't think there was doubt in anyone's mind that we were going to play well tonight.

I'm lucky that I get an opportunity to go in the shootout. As long as I keep scoring I guess I'll get to keep shooting.

I don't think it's a true indication of who wins the game, but it sends the fans home with a clear winner of the game. A shootout is all about the fans.
