A lot of our sewage treatment plants are taking sludge and dumping it in landfills. What we are saying is maybe we should be harvesting that waste instead of letting it go.

You may have a farm, but sitting next to it you may have a small community. They (new residents) like the idea of open space and having a farm next to them, but they are not thrilled with the odors coming from it.

Quite frankly, the conversation around that biogas plant probably started about five years ago when we started talking about building a digester to get rid of the fumes from the waste. The odor issue is the key thing for us.
