He (right fielder Jacob Anderson) has a great arm and I thought he was going to throw it to second. But I yelled at him and he got the message.

Give the kid credit for coming off the bench and hitting a ball like that.

He had all his pitches working and he was able to locate all of them. He was real strong early in the game.

We could tell he (Thompson) was getting tired in the seventh inning. He started to hang a few pitches. The temptation was to throw him back out there for the eighth because he pitched such a great game but he gave us all he had.

If I had my choice, all the games would be exactly like that.

We're growing each week as a team. We're not there yet. We still have things to work on. But we are improving each time out.
