We have got to start executing better. We played in spurts, but never with all five guys at the same time.

Jay gave us a good, hard effort on Hester. He's (Hester) a nice player. Everything they do revolves around him. If he's not the one scoring for them than he is involved in the scoring in some other way.

That was a big offensive rebound. That and a couple of big defensive plays may have turned it for us.

We find niches where we play pretty well and that was the case in the first half. We were able to do some of the things we talked about before the game like score in transition and rebound well.

I can't really complain. It was a good week for us. We beat two quality opponents that brought us to a level of play where we had to sustain solid play over a whole game or we weren't going to win.

We punched it out pretty quick with a nice run. Give Simon Kenton credit though, they just kept chipping away at us.

At this time of year any loss is not good. He was the guy we put on the other team's best offensive player.

We live on the edge because of our youth and inexperience, and Shelby County exposed that tonight. Slaughter played like a senior who is one of the best players in the state. He's emotionally solid and keeps his team that way and under wraps.

He didn't put in the summer miles he wanted to put in, but he's slowly but surely coming back.
