We decided that in view of an extremely dangerous and volatile situation that we would have to temporarily close our offices in Baghdad and Basra.

By this morning, we had 94,000 entries, that compares to 65,000 yesterday morning, which indicates that there is still a lot of demand for this service.

We are still discussing what to do with our foreign staff. ... Our future activity will focus on visiting prisoners, re-establishing family contacts and providing emergency aid in the areas of water and medicine.

It's a big shock. It is obviously impossible to move onto a normal day's business, so we really have to step back and take stock.

The dialogue continues on the question. We would like to obtain information and access to them.

The one message we would like to pass to the public out there is to keep checking it regularly, new data and new entries are being made all the time.
