"Yevgeni Viktorovich Nabokov", more commonly written as "Evgeni Nabokov", is a Kazakhstani-Russian retired professional ice hockey goaltender of the National Hockey League (NHL). Nabokov was selected 219th overall in the ninth round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft by San Jose. Nabokov briefly went by the name "John" upon beginning his career in North America in 1997, fearing that English speakers might have difficulty pronouncing his name. He later stated that "John" was just a nickname.

We've got to throw this one out of the window and forget about it.

The penalties started the problems, and I fell apart. We have to get better. We all fell apart out there in key situations. Penalties cost us games in Los Angeles (on Monday night) and here.

Penalties killed us and it started probably from me. We fell apart. And it's what good teams are not supposed to do.

(Games) are all big right now and when we get to March and April, they'll be even bigger.

We just have to climb, climb, climb and build that toughness. And right now, it's more the mental toughness we need to build.

We can say right now that we do have momentum, but we all know how that can change.

We felt like we had them where we wanted them.

We came into the third period thinking offense, offense, offense. If we're going to think that way we're not going to go too far.

I know how much this area loves hockey, and I know how much people were wanting us to come back. They want to watch us compete every night, and that's what's awesome about this crowd. Hopefully, they'll come every night and keep it up.
