Having accepted her scholarship and doing this will allow her to just have fun and enjoy it. She doesn't have to feel pressure now.

I hope so. But I don't expect her to go out and improve on that distance every meet. If she continues to do the mental things correctly, she could do even better.

Right now the main thing is to concentrate on the little things. She's not going to improve on this distance every meet.

Anybody can have a good day. But you have to be consistent. It's that philosophy that you reach a plateau and you're consistent at it and then you go beyond than that. This sets her up for that.

He was one of those freshman who showed some promise last year. We're not going to win any meets, but it's a victory for us when one of those sophomores win. We need those sophomores to be in a position to medal.

We were pushing it just trying to get him into this meet. A 54 or 55 would have seemed like progress. He was a little sore afterward, but it's probably going to be like that all year. We just have to be careful with him.

She's just come out of nowhere. Last year she was struggling to get over seven feet and she clears 8-6 today. That's got to do wonders for her confidence.

He's just a sophomore, so we're trying him everywhere. He's got a lot of work to do, but he's got natural foot speed.
