"Erin Simmons" is a Canada/Canadian snowboarder, specializing in the snowboard cross event.

Simmons made her FIS Snowboard World Cup/World Cup debut in December 2001 at Whistler, BC. Her first World Cup podium came in February 2004, when she won bronze at an event in Niigata Prefecture/Niigata.

Erin has won four World Cup medals, with her best season coming in 2004, when she placed 10th overall in the snowboard cross standings. She competed at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships in FIS Snowboarding World Championships 2005/2005, placing 11th.

Simmons competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics, in the Snowboarding at the 2006 Winter Olympics – Women's snowboard cross/snowboard cross. She placed 17th in the qualifying rounds, one place short of advancing to the quarterfinals.

It looks totally appealing to kids. I always want to believe they see the ratings from the X Games and that they're looking for the next thing. They're seeing where the sports are progressing.

Out of the start, I did screw up. I went out into a little powder area where nobody had been before. I was just sort of playing catch-up the rest of the way, and I didn't do it.

We still have three big events left this season, and hopefully I will feel better after those. To bring a gold, silver or bronze home for Canada would have been incredible. You have the whole country cheering for you, and nothing compares to that.
