"Eric Shelton" is a former American football running back. He was NFL Draft/drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Louisville Cardinals football/Louisville.

Shelton has also been a member of the Washington Redskins.

I definitely felt like I had to get back out there. I had the one carry where I got hit in the knee, and that was a fumble. I didn't want to go out like that. I wanted to get back in there and show what I could do.

The quickness of the games and recognizing different fronts are the biggest differences between this and playing in college.

Shelbyville is definitely beginning to prove themselves out of that district with two wins over Tullahoma the past two years. They're definitely contending for championships in that district now.

These girls in middle school had a couple of opportunities to play against them as well. They had a reputation coming up through middle school. So, our girls are pretty familiar with them. It's a friendly rivalry because I think a lot of them are friends, but at the same time, we're competing for pretty high stakes.

It has a lot to do with the coaching that these girls are getting at the select level. The select programs in Middle Tennessee are really beginning to pick up. Girls are trying to find the best teams that they can to play on.

We take a lot of pride in earning the number one seed. However, we also realize that means all the other teams will be gunning for us. It is always a little more difficult beating the same team twice in a season. Hopefully we'll be up to the task of defending our title.

I anticipate this district tournament to be a very competitive tournament. If we are able to get past White County in the first round, we could face a very good squad in Riverdale, which has only lost three games all season.

I think if you're a rookie, chances are you will be asked to play special teams and I'm fine with that.
