His scoring is versatile and his personality is versatile. A lot of our guys are pretty polished and they represent themselves and their school well. Dan has range in the sense that he can talk to anybody. He can hang out with the guys, he can hang out with adults, he can hang out with kids.
Peter Dukes shot 47 percent in 1991-92 when (future NBA draft pick) Adam Keefe was in the post. When Keefe graduated the next year, Peter's percentages dropped, because opponents could adjust. One key to sharpshooter success is a balanced team.
They are quite a bit different. Ryan was and is a happy-go-lucky guy. He loved to compete, but he was a little more easy going. Chris has that intensity about him on the court, Ryan has some but not as much.
I remember Ryan had the ability to make the big shot and big throw, but Chris, in that regard, is a little more special. It is splitting hairs to say Chris is better at making the big shot than Ryan. It is all pretty good company at that point. But nobody has made bigger free throws for us than Chris Hernandez.
Not only does the University of Portland deserve a winner, it can win.
