I thought we were a little flat tonight. It could have been because we had a forfeit right away. Against a good team like Spring-Ford, coming out giving up forfeits doesn't put you in a good spot to have things going your way.

You have to beat someone good to get here. Seth did that. Hopefully everyone else in our program will see that and realize what it takes to do it. Hopefully everyone will use it next year.

Honestly, I didn't expect (Ecker) to be in the final, but I knew there was a spot for him in this tournament. He needed to have a good tournament this weekend, and he did that.

You hope for everybody, but that's not realistic. Our two semifinal guys aren't out of the woods yet. They have three cracks at making it through to states.
