This is one of the key positions. It's public safety. This is one of the most important hires the board will make.
It's not related to quality of service, it's related to cost. For us, it was an issue of having better control of our costs.
As soon as they can find and identify a suitable person.

We came up with it initially because we wanted to establish some kind of zoning ordinance ... with the idea that some places might be appropriate and some might not. They are asking for more time to research and determine what they want to recommend for adoption.
Ideally you want to do this once, and do it right.
It's the first step to seek money for restitution such as grants.
The governor will make a declaration before too long.
