We did not sponsor, organize or promote any of the three events, two of which we attempted to distance ourselves from and a third we had no knowledge of.
We're very hopeful that they can see their way clear to give us some leniency and latitude. Fund-raising is more and more difficult and we depend so heavily on fund-raising.
He has been absolutely dedicated to his position as commissioner. He has worked very hard for the good of all the residents of the county. He looked for accountability and results. A lot of good things have been accomplished under his leadership.
This is wonderful. We're delighted they're considering this form of relief. Any savings we can get will be important.
It would be a wash for the county, but the cities would be the big loser; they receive a percentage of that sales tax.
