I never try to be something I'm not.

I was glad I could help. Just lift their spirits a little bit. ... It was tough just to see your hometown, to see areas that you remember playing baseball in and growing up around and seeing it under water -- just seeing people walking the streets.

I think everybody knows what to expect from Coach Coughlin, ... The five minutes early, that's just part of it. Now you know how it is. No one talks about it any more . . . . That's just the way it is. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it. Everybody knows we've got to get better. We need some discipline to be a better team than we were last year.

I felt fine. I wanted to take all the snaps, but he took me out and I don't argue with the head man about that. But I was making all the throws. I threw some deep ones that actually had too much on them. I have to work on the timing on some of those things, but it felt good throwing.

I'm not a screamer or yeller. If I would try to scream and yell at people, it's not what I'd naturally do. So if I tried to do that, it would be awkward, I think.

They're going to expect me to go out there and play better to win games, and I expect that from myself, ... There's no reason for me not to go out there and play at a high level.

They're good pals of mine that I can talk to when I have questions. We're together a lot during the day. When we study questions come up and we think things through and talk about them together. We think up situations in our head - 'if this happens, what do you do?' If the coaches aren't with us we can think about it and everybody throws in their ideas. We get good work out of it.

I'm looking forward to getting some reps and going out there and competing.
