The popular belief is that the children are resilient. If we see them running around, people assume that they are coping. But the loss is tremendous that they've endured. It would be misleading for us to think that they will ever get over this.

Children everywhere need stability and certainty. These children need to be shown that their families are going to be okay. Those of us involved in the psychosocial sector are trying to create a safe place for them. And they need to talk about this -- information is a big part of what minimizes fear.
