It was like trying to eat one potato chip. I've picked up the mandolin and feel like I can go to any session and hold my own. I also play the tin whistle, but not very well. I want to play everything.

I had a bedroom of my own in the pub and was welcome there whenever I had the opportunity to travel. It got to the point where I was working only to fund my travels back and forth to Ireland.

It wasn't like moving to Ohio. Even though they were grown, I think they had a difficult time. But it was more than just a whim. I think they now realize it was something I had to do.

Irish music has been great to me. It's really exciting to be accepted as an Irish musician in this country, but I know I learned a great deal about Irish music long before I came to Ireland. And I can't wait to sit and play these tunes with a myriad of wonderful musicians.
