If we don't start getting on top of this now, it's gonna get on top of us.

They are known for smuggling illicit drugs, assault, drive-by shooting, homicides, I.D. theft, prostitution activities, robbery, and weapons trafficking.

This type of clear and present danger comes with too much violence for us to ignore at this early stage.

And they also initiated inspections on the establishments as a form of coercion, to allow the money to keep on coming in.

And so again I ask those responsible, with oversight of the liquor commission, to evaluate this and to enact the proper ethical standards so that this type of corruption never, ever happens again.

We clearly need a better system in place to enforce the liquor laws of Honolulu.
