"Douglas McArthur Jarvis" is a former Canada/Canadian professional ice hockey forward (ice hockey)/forward who played for the Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals and Hartford Whalers in the National Hockey League, who holds the current record for List of NHL players with 500 consecutive games played/most consecutive games played in the NHL (964). Jarvis never missed a regular season game in his NHL career, which began on October 8, 1975 and ran until 1987. He currently serves as an assistant coach for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League.

I think he's a good, strong two-way player. He has the ability to play good positional hockey and takes care of the details that a defensive-type player does, but he has good skill with the puck.

Chris goes hard to the net, he goes to those areas that you have to go to score. He's got quick acceleration to get in on those scoring chances and wants to be first to the puck. He's an aggressive player in those regards.

What I find with [Chris] is it's almost a change of pace for him. And that's why he scores a couple of 4-on-4 goals in overtime. All of a sudden, he's got some room, he jumps to that hole, and he's in for a scoring chance.

He's a good skater and strong with puck. When he gets it ... he protects it well and finds a way to makes good things happen.
