Every one of the deer killed illegally in this incomprehensible spree is a lost opportunity for law-abiding and ethical hunters. The excitement they might have generated, the memories they may have provided hunters, the venison they could have provided, rotted away in the fields in which they were shot. What a terrible misuse of a natural resource.
