We have a lot of young girls, and they need to understand how to work together as a team.

I plan on holding camps and recruiting once I take a little break. Recruiting should be easier with the season we've had, and hopefully I can recruit better players to play for Nicholls State.

It's good for the program, and a lot of teams don't realize that we are here to play.

There are a lot of good teams in our conference where 100 percent of the players are international. The level of tennis in Houma and the Louisiana isn't high enough, so you have to go internationally.

As a minority coach, you have to prove yourself. Things can change, but it's always important to remember where you come from.

People make choices; if you want to be a coach it's hard. You have a lot of young men who are capable of being coaches, but they just have to take advantage of it.
